Safety Policies

Supervision:

All practices and matches will be supervised by certified coaches to ensure proper techniques and safety protocols are followed.

Protective Gear:

Participants are required to wear protective gear, including headgear, mouthguards, and kneepads, during practice and competition.

Injury Protocol:

In the event of an injury, certified first aid personnel will be present to provide immediate assistance. Parents/guardians will be notified of any injuries requiring further medical attention.

Training Environment:

Wrestling mats and training areas will be cleaned and sanitized regularly to prevent the spread of infections or communicable diseases.

Code of Conduct

Respect for Coaches and Teammates:

Members must treat all coaches, teammates, and opponents with respect, both in practice and competition.

Sportsmanship:

Unsportsmanlike conduct, including taunting, aggressive behavior, or inappropriate language, will result in disciplinary action, including potential suspension from the club

Bullying and Harassment:

Bullying, harassment, or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated. Any such behavior may result in immediate expulsion from the club.

Punctuality:

Members are expected to arrive on time for all practices and matches. Frequent tardiness may result in reduced practice time or exclusion from competitions.

Payment & Refund Policy

Membership Fees:

All membership fees are due prior to the start of the session or tournament. Fees may be paid in full or through an approved payment plan.

Late Payments:

Late payments may result in suspension from practices or competitions until the outstanding balance is settled.

Refund Policy:

Refunds will only be issued in cases of medical injury preventing participation or relocation out of the area. Refunds will be prorated based on time remaining in the program.

Non-Refundable Fees:

Registration fees for tournaments or special events are non-refundable except in cases of event cancellation.

Attendance & Participation Policy

Attendance Requirement:

Members must treat all coaches, teammates, and opponents with respect, both in practice and competition.

Absence Notification:

If you are unable to attend a session, please inform the coach at least 24 hours in advance to allow proper planning.

Competition Participation:

Only wrestlers who have met the attendance requirement and demonstrated consistent effort and discipline in practice will be allowed to compete in official matches.

Facility Use Policy

Cleanliness:

Wrestlers are expected to keep locker rooms and training areas clean and tidy. All personal belongings should be stored in designated areas.

Damage to Property:

Any damage to club property, whether accidental or intentional, must be reported immediately. Members may be held responsible for the cost of repairs.

Locker Room Policy:

Respect the privacy of other members. Any inappropriate behavior in locker rooms will result in disciplinary action.

Social Media & Photography Policy

Photography & Video:

By participating in the club, members and parents consent to the use of photographs and videos for promotional purposes, including on social media and the club’s website. If you do not wish to be included, please inform us at the time of registration.

Social Media Conduct:

All members must represent the club positively on social media. Posting offensive or inappropriate content related to club activities or other members is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension.

Waiver & Liability

Waiver of Liability:

By joining the Matmen Wrestling Club, members and their guardians understand the inherent risks involved in wrestling. The club is not responsible for any injuries sustained during practices, competitions, or events.

Assumption of Risk:

Participants voluntarily assume the risks associated with wrestling, including the potential for physical injury. Members agree to release the Matmen Wrestling Club, its staff, and affiliates from any liability.

Medical Expenses:

The club does not cover medical expenses resulting from injuries sustained during activities. Members are responsible for their own health insurance coverage.
